Shreya - Calligraphy and Engraving Artist
About the Artist

Hello, I’m Shreya.

A calligrapher and teacher who didn't start out trying to build an art business. It was a messy mix of needing quiet, loving paper, and just trying to find my footing. Here’s the story…

For a long time, I just wrote for myself. I picked up the pen because the world felt loud and I needed a place to get quiet. Don't get me wrong, I obsessed over the "perfect" curves and lines at first. I thought that was the point. But the more I shared, the more I realized it wasn't about the ink. It was about the feeling.

Writing a name is a small act, but it carries a heavy weight. It’s a way of validating a person’s existence on paper. I'm giving them their spotlight moment. I want them to stop, smile, and feel that rush of being personally recognized.

When I teach a student, I’m helping them reclaim that same confidence in themselves. And that validation is exactly what I try to bring into my classroom. So many of us carry this story that we 'aren't the creative type' just because we don't have perfect penmanship.

I am here to invite you to drop that story. Whether you are hiring me or learning from me, I want you to leave our interaction feeling taller. I want to help you celebrate your life, your milestones, and your own potential. We live in a busy world; I’m just here to make sure you take a second to realize how amazing you (and your story) actually are.

If you’re here, thank you for trusting me with something personal. It would be an honor to create, teach, or share that moment with you. If it doesn't have heart, it’s just ink. I want my work to help you feel grounded, connected, and real.

My Purpose

I help people reconnect with art as something they are allowed to enjoy, use, and cherish. Not as a reward. Not as something to earn. Simply as something human.

Through calligraphy, teaching, and live art, I hope to help people feel more confident in their expression and more gentle with themselves in the process. Art is not reserved for experts or professionals. It belongs to anyone willing to show up honestly.

Play (Not Perfection)

I have a strict "no judgment" policy. We treat creativity like a chore too often. I value the kind of confidence that comes from just trying. The kind where you make a mistake, laugh at it, and keep going. My workshops are designed to be a playground, not a classroom. I am your biggest cheerleader, and I promise you: you are more creative than you give yourself credit for.

You're the Occassion

I am on a mission to stop people from "saving the good stuff" for later. You do not need a permission slip to enjoy your life. You don't have to cut fruits before eating nor do you have to wait for a festival to start decorating your home. We often convince ourselves that we have to "earn" rest or "earn" beauty. But using the good materials or commissioning something personal is not indulgence; it's self-respect. Sometimes self-love looks like booking the class. Sometimes it looks like seeing your name written in gold. Whatever it looks like for you, I’m here to remind you that you’re allowed to have it.

You deserve to celebrate yourself today, not someday.

I create and teach so people can experience art as something personal, calming, and confidence-building, not intimidating or out of reach.

... and my kitty feels the same, she says Hi! Thank you for being here.
